E-commerce Platforms That Actually Convert
Storefronts, checkouts, and back-office systems built for real catalog sizes, real traffic spikes, and real unit economics — not theme-shop cosplay.
Why Most Ecommerce
Projects Quietly Fail
Most ecommerce software doesn\'t fail because the tech is hard. It fails because nobody spent enough time with the people who\'ll actually use it, or took the regulations and integrations seriously early. We start there.
Checkout leaks money
Slow, broken on mobile, 6 fields too many. Cart abandon rate you're afraid to look at.
Inventory out of sync
Website says in stock, warehouse says no, customer gets a refund and a bad review.
Plugin spaghetti
40 WooCommerce plugins fighting each other. Upgrades break checkout every quarter.
What You Actually Get
No vague deliverables. Here's exactly what lands in your hands.
Roadmap & Plan
A written plan with milestones, owners, and risks — not slides.
Architecture / Design
Documented architecture, schemas, and design decisions you can defend to auditors.
Production Code
Reviewed, tested, deployed code in your repo — not "delivered" via zip.
Runbooks & Handover
How to run it, debug it, restore it. Your team owns it from day one.
Why Ecommerce Teams Choose Us
Specifics, not adjectives. Here's what makes this engagement different from the generic agency you tried last time.
Domain-literate
We read your regulations, walk your floors, and interview your users before designing.
Senior engineers only
No juniors hidden behind a charming PM. The person on the call is the person doing the work.
Written plan first
Every engagement starts with a documented plan you sign off on. No surprise pivots.
Compliance-aware
Audit logs, access controls, and data residency designed in — not bolted on before the audit.
Real-time visibility
Live dashboard with tasks, logs, and decisions. You're never out of the loop.
After-launch support
30-day stabilization included. We don't vanish at handover.
You See Everything. In Real Time.
Every Pillai Infotech project comes with a dedicated client dashboard. Kanban boards, live logs, test results, meeting notes — it's all visible the moment it happens. No status-report theatre, no "we'll get back to you", no surprises at the demo. You work with us like you work with your own team.
Kanban Board, Live
Every epic, every story, every task — visible on your dashboard. Drag, comment, reprioritize. It's the same board our team works from.
Documented Everything
Every decision, spec, API contract, and architecture diagram lives in the dashboard. Searchable, versioned, linked to the tasks they shaped.
Live Logs & Test Results
Build logs, deployment logs, test suite results — streamed to your dashboard the moment they run. You never have to ask "did the build pass?"
Meetings → Tasks, Automatically
Every meeting is recorded, transcribed, and every action point is auto-converted into a tracked task assigned to the right person. Nothing gets lost between calls.
Sprint Burndown & Velocity
See exactly how much work is done, how much remains, and our velocity over time. If a sprint is slipping, you see it the same moment we do.
Comment, Approve, Decide — In-Place
Comment on any task, approve designs, sign off on specs, and raise blockers directly in the dashboard. Everything tied to the work, not buried in email threads.
What We Build For Ecommerce

📊 Retention & CDP
Segmentation, RFM, loyalty, and lifecycle flows across email, WhatsApp, and push.
Tools We Reach For
We pick stacks based on what your team can run and what your regulators will accept, not on what's trending on Hacker News.

Questions You Should Ask
The questions every smart buyer asks before signing. Here's what we tell them.
Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom — what should we pick?
Honestly, it depends on catalog size, customization needs, and team capacity. We'll tell you straight: Shopify is almost always right for D2C under ~$5M ARR; headless or custom earns its complexity above that.
Can you integrate with our ERP / WMS / 3PL?
Yes — SAP, NetSuite, Unicommerce, Increff, Shiprocket, Delhivery, Bluedart, FedEx, and most others. Inventory sync and order routing are usually the first things we wire.
How do you handle sale-day traffic spikes?
CDN caching, queue-backed order capture, and load tests before launch. We've kept storefronts up through 50x normal traffic without downtime.
Can you migrate us from our current platform?
Yes. Catalog, orders, customers, SEO, and URLs all migrated with redirects. We've moved stores off Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom stacks.
Do you build mobile apps too?
Yes — React Native or native iOS/Android, tied to the same backend as the web storefront.
How do you help improve conversion?
Real analytics, funnel diagnosis, CRO experiments, and checkout rebuilds. We measure what changed and tell you honestly if something didn't work.
Who owns the store and the data?
You do. Everything lives in your accounts — Shopify, AWS, GA4, and so on. We never hold your store hostage.
How long does a new storefront take?
6–12 weeks for a Shopify build, 12–24 weeks for headless or custom. Migrations usually sit in the middle.
